Today we drove up to Stillwater OK to visit granddaughter Kendyl at Oklahoma State University. She is a sophmore. The campus is very beautiful with the buildings in the Modified Georgian brick architecture.Wish I had taken some photos as we were driving around the campus.
The University offers over 300 majors and minors in everything from accounting to zoology and more than 200 master's and PHD options. It is a nationally ranked research university in the classroom and on the field.
After seeing Kendyl's dorm room, she suggested we go to lunch at Golden Dragon near the campus on Perkins. A very good choice, pleasant atmosphere and many menu selections. We each selected a different entree and at Kendyl's suggestion I chose the Coconut Chicken with a sweet creamy sauce..very delicious.
Did not realize Kendyl was so artistic and talented. Some of her artwork was displayed in her room. The one of the dog is Bailey the family dog.
Kendyl had studying to do so John decided to drive up to Bartlesville to get photos for his website of an old AF station that closed in the 60's. A few buildings remain is disrepair. On the drive up realized I had forgotten to give Kendyl some money so we stopped back by.
Glad we were able to have this visit. We are proud of her and Eric says she has maintained an A average. She is on a partial scholarship. Has not decided on her major.
