Our drive to Sanger TX via IH35 was 155 miles and our home for the next 2 nights, Wagon Master RV located 1 miles west on FM455 exit 478. Must say we chose a very nice, friendly and well maintained RV Park. Large pull thrus on some sites with full hookups. The park also features an Alpaca farm and feeding is at 500PM. When John hooked up the water he noticed some visitors..2 hoppy toads. They seemed to be comfortable so he let them be. The laundry and bath house very clean and spacious with a club room attached. The swimming pool also seemed well maintained. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you owners for a short, but nice stay.

Office

According to plan went down to the office for the 5PM feeding where I met Chelsey and Darrel, Owners and Operators of the park who escorted me to the feeding area. They have 9 Alpacas..2 male and 7 females. Alpacas have a gestation period of around 1 year. They are so soft and no they did not spit..very friendly. Once a year they shear them and spin the fur for yarn which they sell in the office. If I were still knitting would have made a purchase.

Also in the office were two painted rocks that had been donated. I am amazed at the artistic ability to do such intricate work and so realistic. Must really have a steady hand and be very talented.

Upon the recommendation of Chelsey, on Friday we went to dinner at Babe's in Sanger noted for their family style fried chicken dinners. The restaurant is located in a historic building built in 1898 and housed a hardware store. A generous plate of friend chicken, green beans, corn, mashed potatoes with gravy and salad were delicious topped off with dessert which we took home along with 3 remaining pieces of chicken. Babe's has several locations in the area, so stop by if you are close.
