After spending several weeks on the coast of Washington we return to family in Redmond,OR. This is longest stay we have had since starting our travels in 2009. It has been a nice visit and so thankful that they are able to provide us with a nice spot including electric and water. Also the convenience of laundry and sharing meals together. This will be our last trip at their present home as they are in the process of remodeling their new home in Terrebonne and hopefully will be moved in by the end of October. This home and property will be completely razed by the developer.
Took Cade and his friend, Jake to play putt-putt and they enjoyed the Go Kart rides. Also attended one of Colt's Redmond HS football games. They have won all the games so far. Maybe it will be a winning season. Cade is also playing football for Obsidian MS. Both grandsons also played baseball this season and teams did very good.

Drove over to Christmas Valley one day so John could visit the site of a Cold War Radar Station.
On the way stopped at Fort Rock a volcanic landmark that resembles the palisades of a fort named by a settler in 1873. It is located in the Christmas Valley Lake Basin. The Christmas Valley area grows a lot of alfafa hay.

Had several good visits with friends Ernie and Alinda who also live in Terrebonne. They had over 1 night for dinner which as always was delicious. Alinda enjoys cooking and provided us with dinner the next night. The pot roast was yummy..something I never fix, but will have to try her recipe. For dessert she served a very tasty peach type cobbler. Thank you for the visits.
Holly, who is good friends Carolyn and Don's daughter, has been a friend to Hope and has been helping her out painting the new home. We got to visit with her as well.
Unfortunately did not get family photos this visit as so much has been going on with sports, house and jobs. Did manage to get annual photo of grandsons beside RV. They are growing up.

Today we drove over to our home for the next week in Salem...Hee Hee Illahee RV Park. This is our 2nd stay and will only stay here on future visit. It is convenient to IH 5 at exit 258, very well maintained, quiet, laundry is very clean, nice pool and other amenities. The name means "A fun place to be". One of the few parks that allow RV washing and they also have recycling.www.heeheeillahee.com
On the way we stopped at Hillyer's Ford in Stayton for oil change on RV. When in area we always have them service it. $60..a bargain.

Tomorrow we are going to do a coast drive north as John found 2 WWII Radar sites he wants to document for his fortwiki site.
While we are here, we have a busy social schedule with friends that we always enjoy visiting.
