Last Days in Grayland,WA

18 August 2018

Tomorrow we depart for Copalis Beach and Driftwood RV park just 50 miles north for 5 nights before heading back to Oregon.

This has been a relaxing stay in Grayland and have enjoyed the cooler weather. Before leaving we went down to the Marina in Westport and walked the pier. Crabbing is very popular in this area. Stopped and asked if I could take some pictures. Also got a lesson in distinguishing male and female crabs.

On way back we stopped at Cranberry Road Winery for dinner. Very nice.

While we were here, John managed through his diligence to get information on a WW II Army Radar site located near the towns of Raymond and South Bend. Made several trips to Museum in South Bend and County offices in both towns. Even met the owner of property where part of the base was located. Some buildings still remain.

Not much else going on..just enjoying the relaxation.
