Our grandsons are showing their swine at the Deschutes County Fair this week. This is the 4th year for Colt who is in FFA and the 3rd year for Cade who is in 4-H. Both have York/Hamp cross hogs. They have been working with them for over 4 months exercising, feeding, bathing and training.

Cade's Barbie Q is a 7 monthold gilt and he is showing as a market hog. Colt's Tank is his market hog and Missy is his breeder.We wish them a successful show and auction.
As the week progressed, Cade got Grand Champion 4-H for Market Hog and Reserve (2nd) in Junior showmanship championship.Congratulations.

Colt took 4th in his weight class.
The Auction is Saturday.
Since Cade got Grand Champion he went first for the Auction and got a good price in the bidding of $25 pound. His hog weighed in at 268. Job will done. Money received in bidding and add ons will go toward his education fund and expenses.

Colt got $10.50/lb and Tank weighed in at 277. Not bad. Several years ago he also got Grand Champion Market. His money will also go toward his education and a car.
