Said good by to the great staff at Bethany Beach Delaware National Guard Campground with some cookies I baked for them.
We finally got some neighbors last night there. We really liked this campground and especially location. Of all the coastal towns nearby, we like Bethany Beach the best..small, less congested and convenient for shopping.
Our drive to USMA at West Point,NY and Round Pond Campground was around 5 hours with stops. Not one of our favorite drives especially Garden State Parkway thru NJ with traffic. Turnpike was OK with several gas and food stops.
This is our 4th stay here and has bittersweet memories from our stay in May of 2013 as that is when our sweet Destiny passed over the Rainbow Bridge. Still carry her ashes with us.
Rain is predicted for most of our stay, so guess we will pretty much stay close to campground. Good time to catch up on those prolonged chores. John has much to do with his website. We went to Costco in Nanuet for tires for the Malibu. They do not have size and frankly they did not seem very helpful..seems to be an attitude in this area. Did some shopping in the store and just did not get a feeling of friendly atmosphere. Sure a lot different than down South and out West.
For some reason cannot access iPhoto and am now using Photos. John tried to transfer to new backup and to laptop, but that did not work. He thinks there may be a bad file. Fortunately most of the photos are on a DVD. It is just the inconvenience of not being able to open and reference. I really think the ghost came with us from Redmond as other issues have arisen. Seems when one issue gets resolved another one occurs. We are going to try Costco again when we get to Massachusetts.
This will probably be my last entry until we get to Scituate, MA on the 1st.
Thanks to all who sent me Birthday greetings..77 and counting the next 23.
