Arrival DNG Campground Bethany Beach, DE

17 April 2018

An easy drive today from Dam Neck Annex Sea Mist Campground to Delaware National Guard Campground Bethany Beach.

Our route took us Hwy 13  Via Chesapeake Bridge Tunnels and Eastern Seashore to Maryland and over Hwy 50 to Ocean City and then Hwy 1 to Bethany Beach. Traffic coming through Ocean City was heavy and this is not even tourist season.

Our site #22 is next to pond and has a nice oval walking/running track. We are only campers here which is a first. The base is small just off Coastal Highway with a very nice gate and billeting staff. Laundry is free with 10 washers and 10 dryers. Also, the first base and campground we have recently seen that recycles.

After checking in, John wanted to visit an old WWII Radar site nearby and several Observation Towers associated with Fort Miles during WWII.
