Whidbey Island NAS Cliffside RV Park

30 April 2017

We decided to depart Fort Stevens 2 days early and head toward Whidbey Island until the 1 June. Since we could not checkin to our RV site at the NAS until the 2nd, we stayed at the Swimhomish Casino for 2 nights. This is a very nice RV park on the bay with a nice cafe. Did get a photo of Mt Baker from the park.

Less than an hour drive to Whidbey Island NAS and Cliffside RV Park. This is one of our favorite parks located on Juan de Fuca Strait with a nice beach, excellent walking paths through the forest, scampering bunnies and eagle sightings.

Ken and his staff take very good care with many flower beds, driftwood signs and other interesting displays. Think this is our 4th time here. We got a very good site on the front row overlooking the strait. Site #5 with full hookups for $21/day.

Happy 49th Birthday, son Eric. They sent family photo. Great looking family and so proud of all. Looking forward to see you in Yellowstone on 5th of July along with Liz and grandson Michael.

Hope said they now have 5 heifers and 1 bull. Last cow gave birth to twins and refuses to feed bull. They brought the bull home, but due to their busy schedule have found a friend willing to take it and feed.

We drove into Bellingham on Wednesday so John could switch out his iPhone for the Samsung 8. He likes the camera and other features more than on the iPhone 7. I decided to keep my iPhone, but having problems downloading photos to iPhoto. Sure wish there was an Apple store close by. Guess I will go to Verizon and see if they can solve the problem.
