Our blog is to keep family and friends informed of our motorhome journeys.
We have dreamed of this for many years and finally our dream has come true.
We are looking forward to many happy miles ahead.

Time With Family & Friends

06 April-23 April 2017

Our past three weeks with family in Redmond,OR have been filled with the beauty of the snowcapped mountains, family doings, getting together with friends in Redmond and a day trip to Salem to visit Don and Carolyn.

Got some pics of Hope feeding the horses and the hens free ranging.

John went with Shawn to tend the cattle and check on the new calves. They have 3 heifers now and awaiting several more.

The grandsons got their pigs for the Deschutes County Fair in August. This is Colt's 3rd year for showing and Cade's 2nd. Hope they get best of Market as they put in alot of training and care to ready them for show.

Weather has not been so good as it has been windy, rainy and cold. Did manage to go to several of the grandson's baseball games if only for a part of them. Cade is on two teams and Colt is on one. Shawn coaches  Cade's teams.

Cade had friends for a sleepover to celebrate his 11th birthday. Seems like yesterday. we were holding him after his  birth. They sure grow up fast.

We met our good friends, Ernie and Alinda for dinner at The Pumphouse in Terrebonne on Friday. Afterward we went back to their home for a delicious Bosenberry Cobbler with Ice Cream that Alinda had made. Even took some home for the next night. They have just purchased a new Triton 5th wheel and are going to Alaska this summer with two other couples. Got my petting in with their two adorable puppies.  Thanks friends for a very nice visit.

On Saturday,we drove over to Salem to visit our dear friends of past 27 years, Don and Carolyn. Don recently had his 2nd knee replacement surgery and is doing quite well.  Carolyn is taking good care of him as he did for her when she had her hammer toe surgery and bunion removal earlier in the year. They have a beautiful Cherry Tree in their front yard so we got some photos.

This is perfect time of year to visit as all the trees are in bloom. Salem is a nice town and we liked our years living there. Rode by our old home and the neighborhood is well kept. People  who bought our home put an addition on, which is something we talked about in the 14 years we lived there.

On the way back to Redmond we stopped at Giovanni's Pizza in Mill City..one of our favorite places for pizza. Brought some home for lunch next day. We also got new wipers for the car at Napa in Mill City. Much quieter and efficient. Will get some for the Bounder before we depart.

We are taking iHome to Les Schwab for shocks tomorrow. Took the car in last week to have some adjustments on brakes. They are a good and reliable outfit. Wish they had more locations in the lower 48.

John had some minor repairs he wanted to do while here, but will have to wait until we return in July due to weather. We may not even get to wash and wax it as it is supposed to rain all week and we leave on Friday for Fort Stevens SP near Astoria for 4 nights.

Son, Eric send photos of granddaughter, Kendyl on Junior Prom night and granddaughter, Parker being inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. So proud of them.

Have spent time on our trip to Newfoundland in 2018. We are really getting excited about this trip. So much to see and the beauty of the area.

Still need to get some family  photos before we leave.
