Our blog is to keep family and friends informed of our motorhome journeys.
We have dreamed of this for many years and finally our dream has come true.
We are looking forward to many happy miles ahead.

Last Days with Family

25  April

Well, today I turned 76 and I want to thank all the family and friends for their birthday greetings and cards.

Think I am starting to feel my age with the usual aches, winkles etc. However, think for the most part, I am in pretty good shape compared to many I see in the campgrounds who can barely make it down the steps...adding that many of our friends are young acting and in good physical shape.

We are going out tomorrow for a birthday dinner at Applebees. The barbeque place closed and moving to a new location. Got some parting family pictures.See you again family when we return in July for the Fair and grandson's showing of their pig entrys. Know they will do well.

We depart on 28th for Fort Stevens SP near Astoria, OR for 4 nights. John wants to get more photos for his site. We were last there in 2009 as we started RV'ing.  On the 2nd we go up to Whidbey Island NAS at Cliffside for a month. Sure hope the weather improves as I have fallen behind on  my walking and we want to do a whale watching cruise.

Put the final journey itinerary together for our remaining 2017 and 2018 trip through October. We are really getting excited about our trip to Newfoundland. John has found many historic fort sites for his website as well as other interesting places to tour.
