Today we went to lunch at Little Anthony's Diner with Marta and Bill. It is a 50's diner motif that brings back many memories. They feature classic car shows through out the year, old school American fare and artifacts taking you down memory lane. It is located next to the Gaslight Theater on Broadway and Kolb. A fun place to go.

In the afternoon, the Thunderbirds were practicing for the big " Thunder and Lightning Airshow Over Arizona" this weekend. Got some photos as they flew over campground. The show is open to the public and should be spectacular.

This evening Marta and Bill treated us to a performance at the "Gaslight Theater" titled the "Cisco Kid". This was really a treat. The actors were very talented as well as the musicians. Audience participation is encouraged, popcorn is provided on each table and you can order food and drinks. There was not a vacant seat in the theater. We went to the 830PM show. Photos not allowed of the performance. http://www.gaslighttheatre.com

It all started in 1977 by a young University of Arizona student, Tony Terry, Jr and friends who started in Skagway Alaska with a melodrama, "Mighty Moose Melodrama Theatre". After a long cold winter, they headed back to the desert of Tucson and opened the "Gaslight Theatre" and after several locations, opened at it's present location on Broadway and Kolb and also built "Little Anthony's Diner". Many of the cast have been with them since the beginning.
Thank you again, Bill and Marta for a wonderful evening. Looking forward to a visit next year.
