Happy Birthday, my love..you look great at 78. Looking forward to many more.
Our friends, Bill and Lorraine came down for a visit and we had lunch at Ike's Cafe on the Eisenhower golf course at the Academy.Took my camera in case some deer or elk were on the course..We had a good visit and will see them again in January at Nellis AFB.
In the evening John and I went to Applebee's for dinner. Not a good experience as a huge tour group had just arrived and the service was very slow. On the way back as is customary we drove around the Academy and got a very good deer picture. He just stood and posed.
Tomorrow is get ready to leave day as we depart on Friday for Grand Junction via IH 70 west. We will only be there 2 nights before heading to Moab for 5 nights in order to tour Arches NP. Temperature is going to be in the 100's.
After having 4 different bagless vacuums, finally got a Bissell Powerforce bagged one. Bagless are hard to clean and never could find filters. Believe this one is a keeper and it is much quieter.
We also spent the week revising our fall 2015 and 2016 itinerary. In 2017 we are exploring the idea of going to Newfoundland.
|Our Next Journey|
As we started our morning walk, 4 deer scurried through the campground. I just never ceased to enjoy wildlife, disappointed I didn't see a bear.

We went over this afternoon to see the class of 2019 cadets arrive. Tomorrow morning they are sworn in at 830 so we will try and go over for that.
