Sand Dollars and Mother's Day

9 May 2015

Today we visited with son Eric and family. Granddaughters Kendyl and Parker wanted to do a design with the sand dollars I collected on the California beaches. So off we went to Hobby Lobby to select some shadow box picture frames and gorilla glue.

After the girls laid out their designs, we placed them in the frames. The gorilla glue does not work as efficiently as advertised, but with patience we finally got them to adhere. Just hope they don't fall off the backing. Probably should had it done professionally, but it was fun working with the granddaughters on this project.

Later in the day took Parker and friend to neighborhood pool for some swim time. John and I relaxed while they enjoyed the pool.

Eric, Cindy and Granddaughters Parker & Kendyl

Cindy and I were given beautiful flower bouquets.Cards were exchanged and Eric and Cindy gave me gift certificate to local spa which Cindy and I will go before I leave also a hanging clothesline type picture frame.

So blessed to have such wonderful children, son in laws and daughter in law. So proud of all of you.

After brunch John and I went to hospital to visit very dear friend, Larry, with whom John served in the service. He has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor and cancer of the lungs. A real shock as he is never ill. Our prayers are with him and Pia.
