Maple Creek SK and Arrival Eagle Valley RV Park

5 August 2014

A 4 hour drive from Regina to Maple Creek SK and our stop for the next 5 nights, Eagle Valley RV Park on Hwy 1. We were disappointed that we could not get internet connection at our site..guess I need to check these things out in the future. We either have to go by the office or at the visitor center down the road. No satellite dish either, but we can live with that since we can get satellite radio and FOX news. We chose this park due to proximity to Fort Walsh. Other than the inconveniences, it is a nice park amidst many trees. The cammpground has a Caribbean style restaurant with Caribbean fare and a nice patio and pool.

Patio Area and Internet Access

We drove into Maple Creek for some groceries and to check out the town. There is another RV park in town, but it is next to the railroad tracks and trains go by frequently. No Tim Horton's either. Did take some photos of the older buildings in town including the Jasper Museum which at one time was a school and several murals.

Tomorrow we are going to Fort Walsh which is 1 1/2 hours down Hwy 21 and 271.
