Camp Pendleton in Oceanside,CA is the Marines premier amphibious training base.

The estuaries and beach conservation is insured and met by the base's training program on its 17 miles of coastline which
are home to over 148 plant species,24 fish species, 184 bird species,17 mammalian and 9 reptile types.

As I was writing this, amphibious vehicles are passing through the campground on way to ocean for maneuvers.

Later, another beautiful sunset. We are going to miss this campground. Plan to return next year.

Earlier in the day, John replaced the kitchen sink faucet, which turned out to be an all day job.

Also viewed some crew teams in the distance. And another walk on the beach. We have been trying to walk 2-3 miles a day. What better place to walk.
