As we got ready to leave yesterday for Camp Pendleton, the Malibu wouldn't start so John gave it a jump so we could position it for towing. Can't complain as it is probably only the second battery and the car has 137,000. It was a short drive to Camp Pendleton and very glad to get thru the LA traffic. You have to always be on the defensive as some of these California drivers are very aggressive. Got the vapors going thru Los Angeles. When we got to Campground, gave car another jump and made it over to a place on base that was just closing and they were able to install a new battery.
I finally got my workstation set up after trying different things for the past five years and this works out great. Much easier on my back and neck.

This is our first time visiting this campground which is on Del Mar Beach north of San Diego. We have a first row beach site #8.
As you can see by the photos, the beach is large with huge concrete fire pits and cabana chairs under thatched umbrellas. We will be here until the 13 January. Price is only $38 with full hookups. Enjoying the beach walks and looking for sand dollars which are mostly broken as the birds love the meat inside. Can't imagine anything more relaxing than the sound of surf, looking at the ocean and walking in the sand especially with one you love.
