Arrival Monterey Pines RV Park

29 November 2013

After a 3 hour drive down 101 from Travis to Monterey passing through the many vineyards and agriculture farms we arrived at Monterey Naval Postgraduate School RV park, Monterey Pines, located off base and next to the Monterey Pines golf club, airport and fairgrounds. California as noted on the drive is desperate for rain as the hills are brown and arid. Maybe Oregon needs to send rain down..hee,hee.

Golf Course View

The park is in a great location for touring the area and our site #5 overlooks the golf course. Our site only has 30amp and water, but for 4 nights worth the view. The Wi-Fi spotty even with our repeater, but we do have good satellite. Not bad for $26/nt.

We drove into Monterey to visit the Presidio and the Defense Language School. We visited here last year. Saw several deer and a beautiful view of the Bay.
