Leaving Nellis AFB-Desert Eagle RV Park

15 March 2013

Our last night 14 March at Nellis AFB Desert Eagle RV Park was visiting and dinner with new found friends Max and Caron..our next door neighbors from Pueblo CO. I fixed a spaghetti dinner with salad enjoying conversation with wine and nosh before. They brought decorated St Pat cupcakes for dessert which we enjoyed. I saved my second for tomorrow. We have enjoyed meeting and getting together and wish we had met sooner. With a promise to keep in touch, we departed for Flagstaff today.

Oh yes, yesterday we went once again to Bagel Cafe on Buffalo for lunch.
John had his usual Chicken Salad Sandwich and I had the Corned Beef. Really had to use discipline to pass the dessert area.

The drive to Flagstaff via 93 and IH 40 was boring and desolate. Stopped in Kingman at Flying J for gas ($3.51) and slice of pizza for lunch. After 6 hr drive, arrived at the KOA for the next 4 nights. Good thing we didn't start out last week as snow would have been on roads. Weather here is in 60's with only smattering of snow. Not really happy with this campground.
Spaces are close and we cannot extend our awning because of tree. Guess we are spoiled after such spacious site at Nellis. Not a good dog walking area for Destiny in the morning, but they do have a dog park by the office.
