We left Point MUGU on 31 December after John's recovery from a stomach virus and arrived our our campsite for next 30 days in Seal Beach. The campground is located on the Naval Weapons Station in Seal Beach in a National Refuge Area.
We are about a mile from several beaches along the coast highway with the one by the pier in Seal Beach being the closest. Upon checkin we were advised of coyotes and not to walk Destiny after dark. We were also given advice about the possibility of critters and ants and to sprinkle cinnamon, black pepper or baby powder around the motorhome especially near the hookups. So far have not had an encounter. There are lots of birds especially blue herons, egrets and ibis. Also ground squirrels.

This is a very nice park with 50x20 ft concrete pads. Very quiet. Large laundry room that is free, well maintained grounds and very friendly staff.
A small NEX within walking distance, but the base does not have a commissary or large NEX. Good location for easy shopping and touring. Would definitely stay here again.
After we arrived,I came down with the stomach virus that John had and spent first 3 days in bed. Just now starting to feel better.
Hope and grandsons flying down on the 15th to visit Disneyland,Universal and Legoland. They are also looking forward to some beach time.
Yesterday we drove to Long Beach and then south to Huntington Beach.
We passed the watertower home on Hwy 1 near Huntington Beach that was recently featured on HGTV unusual homes segment. Also passed several other unusual homes in architectural style dating back to early 20's.
