The Reagan Library located in Simi Valley is situated on a mountaintop overlooking the surrounding mountains, valleys and Pacific Ocean. The views are beautiful and breathtaking. He chose this site for his final resting place because of the views. The Library opened in 1991 and has welcomed more than 5,000,000 visitors. Reagan referred to the site as the "shining city on a hill".
